Policies

Acceptable Use Policy

A generator is only trustworthy if its limits are written down. These are Caketta's, in plain language.

This policy forms part of the Terms of Service. Briefs are screened automatically against it, and screening is backed by manual review of reports. Screening is not perfect — you remain responsible for what you generate and how you use it.

1. Intellectual property — the hard line

Caketta will not generate, and you must not attempt to obtain:

  • Licensed or copyrighted characters — cartoon, film, game, comic or toy characters belonging to anyone else, in any form, including “inspired by” versions.
  • Trade marks, logos and brand identities — corporate marks, product trade dress, packaging designs, or anything that would be mistaken for them.
  • Sports club crests, league marks and national federation emblems.
  • Imitations of a named living artist, decorator or studio's personal style. Describe the look you want — colours, texture, mood — rather than borrowing a person's name.
  • Counterfeit or lookalike designs intended to pass as another business's product.

If you hold the rights to a mark or character and want it on a cake, take that to your decorator with your own licence — not to a generator. Rights complaints are handled under the Intellectual Property Policy.

2. People

  • Caketta will not generate the likeness of a real, identifiable person, living or dead.
  • There is no image upload, so no photograph of anyone can be submitted, altered or reproduced.
  • Caketta does not do face swaps, age changes or any other manipulation of a person's appearance.
  • Do not put another person's name in a brief in an attempt to produce their likeness.

3. Adult, hateful and illegal content

  • No sexual, pornographic or otherwise adult content, in any style, under any framing.
  • No hate symbols, extremist insignia or content that degrades a group of people.
  • No content depicting or sexualising minors, in any form. This is reported, not just refused.
  • No content promoting violence, self-harm or illegal activity.
  • No content designed to deceive — fake awards, forged certification marks, false endorsements.

4. Food safety — what Caketta does not decide

Caketta is a design tool. It is not a food-safety authority, a nutritionist or a baker, and it will not act like one.

  • Every decoration brief carries a standing allergen prompt telling you to confirm allergens with whoever bakes the cake. That prompt is the extent of it.
  • Caketta makes no determination about what is safe to eat, what is safe to place on a cake, how long anything keeps, or how it should be stored or transported.
  • Decorative elements shown in a render — dried flowers, foliage, non-edible supports — may not be food safe. Your decorator must decide what is barriered, wrapped or removed.
  • Nothing Caketta produces is nutritional, medical or dietary advice. If someone has an allergy, ask the baker, every time.

5. Renders are concepts, not promises

  • No render is a photograph. No cake in any render has been baked.
  • A real cake will differ. Texture, colour, sheen and structure depend on the decorator, the ingredients, the room temperature and the day.
  • Do not present a Caketta render as a photograph of your own finished work. If you show one to a client, say what it is.
  • A render is not a quote. Tier counts and decoration in a brief have cost and labour consequences that only a decorator can price.

6. Plaque wording

Plaque text is typeset by Caketta and laid over the render, so it comes out exactly as you typed it. It is still your text: do not use it for another person's trade mark, for abuse or harassment, or for anything the rest of this policy forbids.

7. Service integrity

  • Do not automate, scrape, or run load against the service.
  • Do not resell or white-label Caketta as your own product.
  • Do not attempt to remove the watermark from a Free plan download.
  • Do not strip or alter the machine-readable AI-generation marking in a downloaded file.
  • Do not create multiple accounts to get around plan limits.

8. Enforcement

Depending on what happened, we will:

  • refuse the brief and explain why — the usual outcome, and often just a wording problem;
  • warn the account;
  • suspend or end access for deliberate or repeated breaches;
  • report content to the relevant authority where the law requires it.

9. Reporting something

If you have seen output from Caketta that breaches this policy, or you hold rights that have been infringed, write to support@joannerobson.shop. Include what you saw and where. Reports are acknowledged within one business day.
